At the First Nations Fashion + Design: Reclamation Runway, the sister duo behind KingKing Creative spoke with Style Up ambassador Chris Saunders about the powerful sense of belonging they felt within the space.
They described the experience as the first time the fashion industry had truly felt like “home”. 🌿

From Darwin to Sydney… we’re stepping onto two major runways this May — @first.nations.fashion.design 'Reclamation' runway on May 10, followed by the DHL 'New Generation' runway at @afcaustralianfashionweek on May 14.
To be part of FNFD — a First Nations–led platform created by Mob for Mob — is something we’re deeply proud of. It’s where culture, storytelling, and identity are at the centre of everything we create.
Then to take that same energy onto the AFW stage just days later… it honestly feels surreal. To be included in a national showcase like this is something we’ve worked towards for a long time.
This is more than fashion for us — it’s our story, carried through every piece, every print, every step on that runway.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, worn our pieces, and backed what we do. We’re bringing all of that with us to Gadigal Country 🖤💛❤️
