📢 We’re delighted to share that the NSCD+ Bursary, supported by the Leverhulme Trust (Art Scholarship Training Opportunities for Under 18s), is making strides in removing financial and structural barriers to high-quality dance training.
This programme is for talented young dancers aged 13–18 (as of 1 September 2025) from underrepresented backgrounds in the North of England, especially those from households with annual income under £42,875.
What the Bursary Offers
✨ A three-tier training pathway (Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced) designed to nurture technical, creative, and performance skills
✨ Funding towards training activities, plus support for travel, accommodation, and equipment
✨ Training delivered by NSCD and partner organisations across Yorkshire, the North East, North West, and Wales
✨ A fair, inclusive selection process focusing on potential, motivation, personal barriers, and suitability
🗓️ Important Dates & How to Apply
Application deadline: 31 October 2025
✨ Applicants will also need a reference (from a teacher, mentor, or community leader)
✨ Shortlisting will take place in the Autumn term; successful candidates will then be notified
