As part of the
@thesixthsense.in visual artist
@cursorama invited us at Nuvedo to collaborate on a living centrepiece for The Mycelium Imagination. 👁️
The madness began with a conversation - about networks, pathways, and how mycelium senses and responds to the world. As we spoke about the future of decay, adaptation, survival, and the intelligence of this system, a phrase emerged: Mycelium Punk. 🛸
We created 4 living mycelium artefacts, placed at the centre of the visuals - living systems in process, breathing inside a world where the mycelium was already awake.
Imagine a civilisation where nothing is buried or really forgotten. Where our waste is now a body of infrastructure. Where the fungi feed the living not as metaphor but as literal network - roots of white thread pulling nutrients, signals, memory across kilometres of dark soil. No hierarchy. Just adaptation. Just connection. A system that has been problem-solving longer than we have had problems.
1 - decay
0 - life
(...and it goes)
And between the living artefacts and Cursorama's underground was visual artist
@raul_sharma94 Isometric Fields — mutations and algorithm, between signal and deformed stucture, he created new worlds. Languages emerged with mycelial punk that needed no prior knowledge at all. 🍄Immersed in sound by
@folicstate , we say, step closer, fungi are everywhere.
