However, we won't have to cancel is our 2019 National Awards ceremony on October 16th, 2019 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 6pm-7;30pm at Halifax City Hall.

Tyler Simmonds is the recipient of the 2019 JRG Atlantic Filmmaker Award. Tyler will be at the 2019 JRG National Awards Ceremony in Halifax in October 16 to receive his award! Tyler won for the documentary he will complete called “My North Preston” Tyler says, “This project is being created to show a side of North Preston that the media doesn't often show. This will focus on the positive things people in the community are doing and will show the creativity of certain individuals from there.
The intention behind this film is to change the existing narrative of the community and help inspire those who are living in marginalized communities. The film will also touch on the mental health of the black community and why we feel it is unique.” @tylersimmonds@currentstudios@wfw_intl
