We met up #OnLocation with lighting designer Sergio Cattaneo @cattasergio of @cue_design in stunning Lake Como, Italy, near to where he lives, and we also went to the Porta Nuova district of Milan to complete the interview. Sergio tells us about how he started in the industry, his creative design studio CUE, what he loves about his work, and why we need light in our lives.

La serata prende forma come un percorso naturale, accompagnando gli ospiti verso un finale coinvolgente. Musica e performance dialogano con la monumentalità della sala, creando un primo equilibrio tra scena e architettura. Con il passare delle ore, lo spazio si trasforma: le superfici si animano, le immagini emergono e l’ambiente evolve in modo fluido, fino a diventare un dancefloor immersivo. Un epilogo in cui la rappresentazione lascia spazio alla festa, invitando a muoversi, danzare e lasciarsi andare.

As the night progresses, the environment transforms: surfaces animate, imagery emerges, and the setting evolves fluidly, becoming an immersive dancefloor. An epilogue where performance gives way to celebration, inviting guests to move, dance, and let go.
