This Saturday at Catfish Hotel in Melbs. MSD coming down from Sydney to drop some chaos... and myself, Jam, OHK and L.D. getting some wild track for ya to boogie on down to!
It's amazing what you can fit into 51kb of code these days. This is a clip from our entry (5th place) for @revision_party 64kb Compo this year. It's fun doing sound design in <10kb! That owl hoot tho... Greetz to all the demoscene peeps keeping the 64k category alive!
@interruptfest Is this weekend! I'm super excited for it. If you are in Melbourne, you have to come down to this! It's a once-in-5-years-event that has the best pocket music composers visiting from all edges of planet earth. Great vibes, all original music.
This weeks project build: LED pixel triangles running on the amazing Pixelblaze modules. Controlable from the dancefloor via a phone... and also live-code-ready - which did mean a bit of coding javascript on the d-floor to get the BPMs and colours right. Most importantly, party was amazing. Thanks @amaroo_crew !
Massive congrats to @jacobcollier@gomyben and the whole touring crew for 6 years of touring the Djesse project. Amazing conclusion and appreciate you trusted us with the final show of the tour. Visuals were on point. Performance right up there. Looking forward to the next chapter! <3
Yo! This is happening in Melbourne, March next year. Been waiting for this for half a decade :-D Come one, come all... it's gonner be an incredible weekend with an amazing sound system and well, this line up. (use "cylinder" as a discount code!)
"Battle of Funky" Toshiba Records 1961. I thought it was the mid 70s given it's quality of pressing (!!) Plus coloured Vinyl. Full of samples offt. Hideo Shiraki and Masahiko Togashi doing duel drums offs in the opening 30 seconds. Bass solo within 2 mins :-o.
This Sat night (from about 6:30pm) a bunch of us are playing at The Catfish Hotel in Fitzroy. I'll be busting out the M8 with a bunch of fresh tunes. Seeing there's a Nintendo in shot, I might have to include some Nintendo bangers too :-)
Sometimes you gotta throw those FM-ish bass sounds waaaaay outta whack, just to bring 'em back into shape. Annnnd realize they were not even FM anyway and also way too loud in the mix. 5 days till show time :D
