ベースのチャーリー・リンカーンは、ボストンのバークリー音楽大学でともに学んだ仲間です。信頼する彼と再び音を出せたことを、本当に嬉しく思っています。そして、チャーリーがつないでくれたご縁によって、デイヴ・キングという素晴らしい音楽家と出会い、こうして一緒に作品を創ることができました。二人はともにミネソタ州ミネアポリスの出身、音楽的にも人間的にも深く信頼し合うリズムセクションです。
三人で初めてリハーサルをし、音を出した瞬間から、それはまさに僕が「ジャズ」という音楽を志して以来、ずっと形にしたかったサウンドそのものでした。
