King of Prussia
With the addition of CallisonRTKL’s signature 155,000- SF “Connector,” the King of Prussia Mall is the largest enclosed shopping center in the United States. Linking two separate buildings, the Connector features an intricate, large glass box that is equal in scale to the adjacent anchors, but also forms a transparent public space with an exciting collection of luxury retailers, upscale dining options and first- to- market brands. The new building makes a visual and physical connection to the outside, while creating seamless interior access to the entire mall and a new environment that showcases existing tenants and highlights new upscale retail and F+B brands.

Pinecrest
Pinecrest is a pedestrian- friendly, mixed- use entertainment district that focuses on unique, new- to- market experiences. CallisonRTKL configured 14 separate buildings to frame a street, multiple public spaces, open air dining, elevated roof terraces and abundant landscaping. The close and intense engagement between public space, streetscape, office, F+B, retail, and hospitality uses distinguish Pinecrest’s unique, mixed- use environment. Because sustainability is a key factor in each CallisonRTKL project, the firm incorporated multiple sustainable design elements, such as energy efficient building envelopes, optimized solar orientation and storm water management.

Rosedale
Built in 1969 as the Dayton Hudson shopping center, Rosedale Center was in serious need of a dramatic renovation that would elevate the center’s local reputation and better cater to the modern consumer. The CallisonRTKL design team drew on local context to create the “Simply Minnesota” design concept inspired by the outdoors and giving new life to the center’s interior. New architectural elements such as skylights, observation balconies, ceiling design, new finishes, landscaping, furnishings, lighting, restrooms, water features and seasonally themed courts featuring art sculptures infused new life into the tired structure.
