Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Vera is a celebrity makeup artist for film, TV and print. She is the personal makeup artist for Christina Ochoa, Marin Ireland and has been Zoe Saldana and Eddie Murphy’s personal makeup artist for more than 20 years.
Her feature credits include MANK, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 1 AND 2, THE AVENGERS movie series, THE HIGH NOTE starring Tracee Ellis Ross, LIVE BY NIGHT, and MR. CHURCH. In 2020, Vera was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for the Hair and Makeup on DOLEMITE IS MY NAME. She was also shortlisted for an Oscar for her work on the film. The same year, Vera was invited to join the Academy – a celebrated moment as the Academy works to diversify their membership. Coming up, Vera’s work can be seen in COMING 2 AMERICA starring Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Wesley Snipes, and Leslie Jones.
