Jaafar Jeremiah Jackson was born on July 25, 1996, in Los Angeles and is now 29 years old.
He is the son of Jermaine Jackson from the Jackson 5, and the direct nephew of Michael and Janet Jackson.
He started singing and dancing at age 12, with his uncle Michael as his biggest artistic inspiration.
In 2019 he released his first single, “Got Me Singing”, with the music video filmed in Vidigal, a favela in Rio de Janeiro.
The song has influences from Brazilian funk and was a way to honor Michael, who filmed “They Don’t Care About Us” at Morro Dona Marta.
Besides music, he also played piano as a teenager and even considered becoming a professional golfer.
Before acting, he appeared on the reality show The Jacksons: Next Generation and in Tito Jackson’s “Love One Another” music video.
His acting debut was playing his uncle Michael Jackson in the biopic Michael, released in 2026.
The film was directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Graham King, the same producer behind Bohemian Rhapsody.
