Taking courses with the ASC was a powerful rare experience, which I’d been looking forward to for years. Got to train and break down top tier filmmaking processes from artists who shot major movies. Focused on the key stages of the magic: pre visualization, shooting, lighting, and color. Learned creating PUSH and PULL in an image between the dark and light, when the aim is to touch the heart in a frame.
And we met some incredible friends. Learned the most important and valuable traits for a cinematographer to cultivate, good workflow, good artistry, curiosity, courage to explore, determined focus, decisiveness, good heart, good listener. Learned to shoot more like a visual artist, not an engineer, think in terms of basic art elements and painting : still life, mixed with portrait, mixed with shapes in the surrounding scene. Stick to your vision with unshakable faith.

2024 is the year I moved to LA, life got better.
I’ve got to show gratitude to the friends that have taken me in since I got here, thanks guys.
The path is tough but rewarding, learning many lessons from experiences and listening to wise people.
Came a long way but this is just the start. At this point I’ve been working in film 5 years. And have been shooting films since a kid.
To come to LA and be focused on the craft of film right away is a huge blessing. Appreciate yall and appreciate god
