Grateful to everyone who joined us to mark the first anniversary of the Los Angeles fires. Coming together to remember what was lost, honor the resilience of Malibu, the Palisades, and Altadena, and imagine what rebuilding can look like - together - was deeply moving.
From honoring local heroes Dr. Chester Griffiths and his son, a talk from Malibu City Council Member Haylynn Conrad, a commemorative storytelling activity from Natalie Godinez, to the music from John Watkin, films, and conversations shared, the evening reflected the power of creativity and compassion in the face of devastation. Thank you to the artists, filmmakers, students, and storytellers who lent their voices and visions. 📸: @ella_charon
