This was the FIRST time I launched this idea where I welcomed several business owners to display their services. I wanted to highlight more impactors in the Haitian community outside of the panel & dance class and this was my way of doing so.
Although I received many rejections/ no responses after pitching this opportunity to many people for months, I remained committed to the goal + impact. I did not let the discouragement deter me from the overall vision. (SN: Do not give up after a few No’s!) 🙅🏾♀️
Fast forward, the Networking Mixer segment was extremely successful and I cannot thank this year’s participants enough! It was a VIBE and attendees gained many connections during this time! I was so proud to see it 🥹

At @stocktonuniversity with @stockton_csa , I used dance as a way to talk about something bigger ~ how we build direction without having everything figured out.
Hesitation isn’t failure. It’s feedback.
& Confidence isn’t required to start, it’s built in motion 💃🏾🕺🏾
This was about more than teaching a routine or basic steps. It was about learning how to move even when you’re unsure.

At West Chester University, I recently led a workshop breaking down a system I created to help students and young professionals build careers that don’t compete with their passions, but actually fund them.
I shared my journey from starting cultural organizations as a freshman in high school and college, to teaching dance internationally, to producing 100+ person events, to building a talk show, to building experience within fast-paced Ivy League institutions, to earning my Master’s at UPenn ~ all while realizing that your day job and your passion don’t have to compete, they can train each other.
