This week our AMLC students had the incredible opportunity to learn from Joel C. High, an award-winning music supervisor, producer, and industry leader whose impact spans over three decades in film, television, and video games! 🎬🎶
Joel has overseen music for more than 250 projects, collaborating with visionary directors such as Tyler Perry, Marc Forster, Rob Zombie, Peter Bogdanovich, and Bill Paxton. As a pioneer in the field, he helped establish the music departments at Trimark Pictures and Lionsgate Entertainment, and later played a key role in launching the music division of Tyler Perry Studios.
Beyond his creative achievements, Joel is a 12-time nominee and recipient of Outstanding Music Supervisor of the Year, a founder and former President of the Guild of Music Supervisors, and a Governor for the LA Chapter of The Recording Academy.
Today, he leads Creative Control Entertainment, a powerhouse firm specializing in music supervision, consultation, live events, and production — with clients ranging from indie filmmakers to global brands. 🌍🎵
