This one hurts. @therealgordongoodwin was my childhood hero, mentor, and the sole reason I moved to LA. He was a musical pioneer and revolutionized the way that so many musicians approach Jazz Big Band. This is a huge loss for the music industry and community. I met him when I was 16, and he changed my life. I can trace almost every opportunity in my career to a door Gordon generously opened. RIP, sending love to his family.
