Last night, I had the pleasure and honour of at attending a @davidtlale fashion experience, and what an experience it was. It was hosted 13 floors beneath the ground, in the belly of Jozi - @thegautrain . We were treated to a once in a lifetime experience, traveling by train from Sandton to Park Station with some of the best dressed people in Mzansi. The fashion show was on the Gautrain platform, with the train as a backdrop, and models coming out of the carriages like superheroes from a Marvel movie. What a stage to experience the creative genius of David Tlale. And the garments…OH MY GOODNESS. I’ve never seen anything like it. The complexity, the detail, the textured the variance, the workmanship, the accessibility, the creativity, ahhh the list goes one. Just a remarkable collection. I’ve said that creativity is the new gold. And yesterday, being deep in the Jozi underground, we were mining the creative brilliance of Jozi culture and creativity. The music, the fashion, the lifestyle, the community. All of it is an intersection of the unique offering of Jozis creativity. Thank you @davidtlale for reminding us who we are. CREATIVITY IS OUR SUPERPOWER Over the last few months, the @save.sa.film.jobs coalition has engaged in bringing to light the realities of the challenges faced by the Film Sector in South Africa. Yesterday's panel at @gibsbusinessschool spoke truth to power and reflected on what tomorrow and the future of the film incentive and film sector could and should look like. Great insights from representatives from @saguildofactors , @save.sa.film.jobs , @chocolatetribe and key members of @independentproducersorg and @sasfed_ .
