there are fashion shows… and then there are moments that shift culture. some people put on shows. David Tlale created history… a runway through the Gautrain. “I Am Africa, Not African.” this collection felt bigger than fashion itself. from backstage to stepping onto that runway, I think I speak for everyone when I say every moment felt like we were part of something extraordinary. vision on another level , art on another level , a league of his own. Thank you for this amazing experience @davidtlale 📸- @asephua_ @fufuagency makeup - @casio_black_ @icemodelsjhb @twentymodelmanagement

ISSUE 03 “DAVID TLALE A/W26.” For this issue, we step inside one of the most defining moments in South African fashion history as David Tlale transforms Johannesburg’s Sandton Gautrain Station into a living runway experience. What was once a space of movement and routine became a cinematic stage for African luxury, innovation, and storytelling. Through our lens, we documented every layer of the experience, from backstage anticipation and model interviews to the atmosphere on the platforms, the arrival of the trains, and the energy that moved through the station all night. More than a runway show, this was a cultural statement about how African fashion continues to redefine space, presentation, and global relevance. New Month, New beginnings: We introduce: The Ivory Label: A Symbol of Evolution The launch of the Ivory sub-brand label carries deep significance for the House of David Tlale. Ivory embodies purity, elegance, and the essence of quiet luxury that defines this moment in fashion. It speaks to peacefulness, refinement, and new beginnings, making it the perfect expression of the brand’s evolution. These ivory tags reflect not only the wisdom, growth, and legacy built since 2003, but also signal a fresh and purposeful direction for the future. The 2026 “Daily Order” Collection The 2026 Daily Order collection captures the essence of modern dressing through understated sophistication and practical luxury. Silhouettes The collection embraces key 2026 trends, including soft tailoring, wide-leg trousers, and relaxed silhouettes. Soft grey emerges as a foundational shade, anchoring the collection as a modern staple in workwear. Design Details Elegant round necklines and collarless jackets define the collection’s polished simplicity, while fluid accessories such as silk scarves add softness and refinement to the overall look. Colour Palette The palette shifts toward primary neutrals and earthy tones, creating a visual language that feels grounded, sophisticated, and timeless. @deborah__darling wears “The Members Shirt and Dineo Pants @melrosearch @sonnymagic_hair
