Here’s a small recap of yesterday’s expo opening 🛹
We had such a good time bringing everything together — from the skate jam outside to the artworks inside the Kunstkamer. So many familiar faces, new people, good energy, music, and skating all in one place.
Spot the Art Spot is an initiative that brings together skateboard culture, art, and public space — inviting artists to design skateable artworks that will be used during the upcoming event.
Big thanks to everyone who came by, skated the obstacles, had a drink with us, and made the opening what it was. The mix of skateboard culture and art really came to life.
If you missed it (or just want to come back), you can still check out the expo until the end of June at the City Hall in Nijmegen.

On April 12th, Rooted in Culture and Toekomstmuziek present the House Dance Beginners Battle!
A day for anyone ready to take their first steps into battle culture. Start with a workshop on the fundamentals of dance battles: the movement, the format and values. Then step into the cypher and show what you've got.
No experience needed. Just the will to move!

Jeugd is energie, nieuwsgierigheid, urgentie. Maar in plannen voor sport, cultuur en openbare ruimte komt jongeren vaak pas terug als voetnoot. Jongeren benoemen is makkelijk. Samen maken is het echte werk. Nothing about them without them.
De oplossing is niet nóg een plan. Het is lef.
• Vertrouw jongeren voor de lange termijn
• Geef ruimte zonder constante controle
• Ontwerp samen en kleur buiten de lijntjes
• Leer door te doen, ook als het schuurt
Verandering ontstaat door wrijving. Vertrouwen verbindt. En jongeren verdienen meer dan een plek aan de zijlijn.

Het Straatfonds in Nijmegen was zo'n succes dat het geld al op is😲! Maar geen stress, we slaan de handen in een met @gemeentenijmegen , @tusc_gelderland en @sportinnovator voor nieuwe cashflow in 2026! 💰
In januari lanceren we het Straatfonds in Nijmegen opnieuw. LETOP! het Straatfonds is nog wel beschikbaar in Amsterdam en Rotterdam!🚀
