Instapskate – Vrijdag 3 April
Deze week rollen we over de naar de Sloterplas met een extra toegankelijke route van 14 km – ideaal voor beginnende skaters of iedereen die gewoon lekker ontspannen wil meerijden. Voor de lief hebbers is er een extra sprint ronde tijdens de pauze van 6 km.
Bij de instap skate horen natuurlijk ook de gratis skate lessen, die worden zoals altijd verzorgt door This Is Soul. Zo leer je vallen, opstaan en remmen voor een nog betere FNS ervaring

@gilles.buelens has only been on my radar for 3 years or something. His skating and his presence are so refreshing and chill. That I just had to film with him. Due to a shoulder injury, he was out for a couple months but he picked it right back up on the last trip to Spain and finished his section with a bang. Jaro says: I was that kid who could never sit still. Born and raised in Amsterdam, I started inline skating when I was five, together with my brother Mika Frijn. By the time I was seven, I entered my first competition, and from that moment, skating became a big part of my life. My weekends were spent on the road with my parents, traveling to events. Every day after school I’d be out skating, even when the skatepark was wet. At fifteen, I placed third at Junior Winterclash 2016, my first major competition. Since then, my goals have become clear. Now, as I work toward my first pro skate, I hope it inspires younger skaters to keep pushing and most of all, have fun with it. After years of skating in a more flexible boot, switching to Iqon was the change I needed. The ACT skate was stiffer and heavier, which gave me a different kind of control. For my pro skate, I wanted to find a balance, something in between the flex of the USD Aeon and the stiffness of the ACT. Lets call this the slightly more flexible version of the ACT. ;) For the colorway, I kept it simple and neutral, something that works for almost everyone. I chose Undercover Apex wheels because I love to skate fast, whether I’m in the street or at the park.

@winterclash_official is the biggest event in aggressive skating. We will build a small shop in Eindhoven this weekend from 26-02 to 01-03.
