Create Dinners

Hi! We’ve grown a lot this summer and thought we’d do an introduction for the new friends. We are Create Dinners! 👋 - We are a small woman-led team based out of NYC (but we love to travel too!) - We started as a collaborative application based women’s dinner series in 2016 almost 8.5 years ago. That dinner series is still taking place with Dinner No. 25 coming up this fall! - We host our own community events AND work with brands, couples, and individuals to produce events for them, ranging from intimate dinners to launch parties to weddings to birthdays and more. - We specialize in working with female vendors, infusing events with unique meaningful details, and coming up with thoughtful ways to connect your guests. - These videos are from one of our favorite community events we do - a Mother’s Day cake decorating workshop with @fromlucienyc ! Time for an obligatory introduction for all the new kids here. I'm Kate! I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband Brian and our 9 month old baby boy and dog. I started Create Dinners nearly 9 (!) years ago (obviously my wheels are already turning for the big 10 year anniversary next May) as a dinner party series for creative women. It was a passion project for the first five years and after a mass layoff at the marketing agency I'd been at nearly a decade, I decided to take the plunge and see if I could make it a real company. Somehow we did it and I'm so grateful. Today we still get to host our Women's Dinner Series and other community events like floral arranging workshops and cake decorating classes. We also get to plan and produce events for amazing clients like Creed, Nike, Mejuri, and SiriusXM Media to name a few favorites. And weddings! We work with amazing couples to plan their intimate wedding celebrations. However you found us, I'm so glad you're here. On the days when emails feel endless, laundry is taking over the hallway, and I'm in dishes up to my ears, you all energize and inspire me to keep keeping on. I truly love what I do and if you'd told me five years ago that this is where I'd be, I don't know if I would have believed you. The sweetest spring, most epic house party wedding for Zoë and Adam this past weekend! A 40th birthday bash for Sofia in LA!! This event was close to my heart. Sofia is a dear friend, an insanely talented creative, unbelievable baker, thoughtful friend, and Swedish queen. This event was her vision, we just got to help bring it to life. She made all the food herself (!!) and served four different cakes that she spent all day baking. She also has a deep love for potatoes so we made potato piles and all dressed up as potatoes to sing her happy birthday. 🥔 It was spudtacular.
