This brand new venue in the heart of Tweedmouth will deliver exhibitions, workshops, open studios, learning and education, and so much more.
If you're someone that thrives on variety and enjoys connecting artists with audiences, this role is for you. You'll help develop the creative vision for The Old Brewery Artist Studios and position the venue as an important part of Berwick-upon-Tweed's year-round cultural offer.

The venue will inspire people to pursue careers in the creative sector and it will be a place where people can learn and develop new skills to further their creative practices. Artist opportunity 2027: Artist in the Archive at @officialvindolandatrust
The Trust is inviting artists to apply for a paid period of research and development in five previously unexplored visual and text archives and to respond by creating a new artwork or body of work for presentation at Queen’s Hall Gallery One in Hexham, Northumberland, September until November 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in archives, memory and questions of discovery, preservation and loss. The archival resource is wide and varied and contains rare, unique material documenting a changing landscape and our place within it; interrogating our social and cultural connection to stone.
You can find the full brief with further details on the background of the project, as well as information on budget, research and commissioning process and timelines and application information on the Vindolanda Trust website.
The Guitar Orchestra is a wonderful project led by musician Chris Searle that gives acoustic guitarists of all levels the chance to create music together.
Supported through our Cultural Resource Hub Fund, The Guitar Orchestra meets every Sunday at 6:15pm at St. Aidan's Hall in Berwick-upon-Tweed. No booking is required, just pop along with your acoustic guitar in hand and create compositions with other Berwick-based musicians.
It doesn't matter what your playing level is - everyone is invited! To find out more and see videos from previous Guitar Orchestra meet-ups, head to the official Facebook page - 'The Guitar Orchestra'.
Create Berwick's pop-up Cultural Resource Hubs bring new life to empty or unused buildings in Berwick town centre. Each one provides spaces for people to see, experience and take part in creative and cultural activities. On Saturday 2 May Berwick will witness a centuries-old tradition.
The Riding of the Bounds is rooted in the inspection of the boundary between England and Scotland and the Berwick Riders Association is dedicated to preserving the tradition.
This year's event benefits from a fantastic new website, illustrations and a map, funded by our Living Heritage Fund, and we're looking forward to seeing the colour and excitement as horses, riders and spectators take to the streets to support the Riding of the Bounds 2026!
The Riding of the Bounds' new website design, photography and film is by Berwick-based Sarah Jamieson from @pictorial.photography , and the illustrations and map are by Ali Edwards of @coostie_designs - also a brilliant Berwick-based creative!

Engaging with arts and culture is proven to have lots of benefits - everything from combating loneliness to boosting life long learning. One of the most positive impacts is the ability for arts and culture to improve our overall health and wellbeing.
Because of this, we launched a brand new funding programme to help Berwick-based cultural and creative practitioners and organisations deliver activities that could improve the health and wellbeing for residents in the town.
Two brilliantly creative projects went on to secure grant funding through the Creatively Healthy Berwick Fund - Create a Space and The Present Page (delivered by @berwicklitfest ).
Create a Space runs creative sessions for neurodiverse 16-25 year olds who live in and around Berwick. The Present Page was a six-part creative journaling programme designed to support mental wellbeing.
Head to the link in our bio to find out more about these two projects, and learn how the Creatively Healthy Berwick Fund helped residents of Berwick experience the health and wellbeing benefits of engaging with arts, culture, and creativity.
