HI! I’m Casey Criddle, I am the one woman behind Craft Studio Services. I have been operating my business since March 2021 and it’s about time I re-introduce myself. - @craftstudioservices is most broadly a service for artists and designers to realize their ideas and goals. My main service being carpentry. I can become your studio assistant, helping with storage, painting, logistics and more. - @craftstudioservices makes panels and canvases of any size or custom design. I have standardized products that are offered at our local art supply store @supply.rva and directly from me! Please reach out to inquire about any kind of surface to make art on. - @craftstudioservices I also offer mural assisting. I have most of my experience working on murals with @thicketdesign but have also collaborated with artists like @mattlively and @edtrask . Now accepting scheduling for murals starting in 2025!! These time slots go fast! A little about me- I’m from 757 and went to school at VCU, graduating in 2013 with a Painting and Print Making BFA. I stayed in Richmond finding the feeling of belonging and community to be my home. Throughout my time working professionally I moved around a lot and learned more about running small businesses than I would ever imagine. During this era I am also acting as a painter, working in my free time to make art. @caseycriddle As many people did, during the pandemic I realized much about myself and chose to dive right into the life I always wanted. There was no time to waste. I wanted a job that served me as an artist and gave me the platform to focus on my art more. With everything I learned in 10 years of working for 7 different small businesses/makers trades I created Craft Studio Services. I didn’t think it would work, I felt almost forced to jump into the deep end but it HAS been working. Our little city of Richmond pulled through. Now I happily work in my backyard shop. I have the most incredible space where I split carpentry and my studio work right outside my apartment. I wanted synergy and I made it happen! Thank you to all my clients and special thank yous to my regulars!! THANK YOU RVA! šŸ“ø @benwhitephoto

Two canvases for @tj_rinoski Two pine stretchers with an ā€œLā€ shape molding for stability and pine for weight. Stretched with heavy weight organic duck cotton canvas and finished with Goldens GAC 400 for that drum like tightness.

I made these custom adjustable cherry shelves for @jody_symula !! Jody reached out to me with an inspo unit from a popular home goods store. I was able to design these cherry shelves exactly to Jody’s liking with two sets of gussets that can move into six different heights for two 80ā€ shelves. These shelves are designed to hold small sculptures and framed work with a narrow depth and a lip to hold them in. I had a great time building these and working with this beautiful lumber! Love you Jody! A little about how I met Jody- she was my professor freshman year of VCU painting and print making, I had her for drawing class. We instantly connected, I remember Jody being so patient with me. Recently, Jody told me how much she enjoyed me as a student because I challenged her every class, which made me chuckle for sure. I don’t doubt that I was a handful back then but we instantly bonded and to this day I love conversations with Jody, she’s incredibly smart and inquisitive. I’m so thankful for my experience in college and meeting Jody was definitely a huge part. Even though Jody isn’t teaching anymore she’s still making away in her personal studio creating beautiful ceramic pieces. 🄰 I’m pleased to make shelves for some of her personal collection!
