Small peak into my plyo session for today ( and my playlist 🎶😅). Drills ⬇️: - Single leg lateral box jump overs (both sides- gotta sharpen the both sides of the sword) - Single leg lateral depth drop to lateral single leg box jump - Hurdle jump to box jump - Crossover Sticks - Single leg linear hurdle jump - Warm up pogo drills and knee drives - Plyo drills that can be done to a plate vs a box Some of these are very advanced plyometrics. In order to get there, you have to first work on the basics It starts with absorption of force. Practice snap downs, depth drop landings (both bilateral and single leg) and building the strength and control to own your landings. From there, you can progress to producing force like different types of jumps and bounds before eventually working on reactive drills like rebounding or quick ground contacts. Absorb -> Produce -> React -> Transfer I am thinking about building a plyo/power/agility program specifically for athletes (around 15-25 min 2-3x at most per week). I’m leaving these back-to-back competitions feeling motivated, hungry, and excited for what’s ahead this season. Lots to build on, lots to improve, and a lot more to come ! Thank you to the athletes, coaches, supporters, and members of this community who make this sport so special. I watched my sister @cprevost27 compete the last two weekends in two different competitions…a couple clips here from the CrossFit Masters Semi-Final and the World Fitness Project Tour Stop 1 in London 🇬🇧 Her performances were incredible…she continues to inspire so many young athletes with her dedication and strength. 🥇Carolyne Prevost is headed back to the CrossFit Games! After a dominant performance at the Del Mar Semi Finals, taking 1st in 3 events and finishing top 5 in each, she will be making her 6th appearance at the Games this July!

Most of the time, it starts with a bit of curiosity- I wonder if I can do this ? Then I try it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Single leg box jump over (clear)- 24" by 30". This wasn’t too bad and was a good prep before lifting today. I didn’t attempt anything higher but my curiosity is there…🫣 My head told me I have 3 competitions coming up and to be smart. It’s important to listen to that quiet voice and know when to test/challenge yourself and when to back off. I was very confident I could do this one so this was an easy try. I’m not confident at all I could do the 30" clear with single leg 😂. The hardest part is not the height but jumping high & far enough to clear my butt 😅. Still curious though what my max would be… Perhaps I play around with it another time in the year when I have less on the line. #Power #Speed #Athlete #Development #CrossFit
