Finally found an instrument that’s just right for accompanying renaissance lute songs: the no input mixer. The internal oscillations in this vintage Mackie create an atmospheric curtain of sound that make a nice counterpoint to Dowland’s “In darkness let me dwell”. Here’s a little experiment from my work in progress for eine kleine Klubmusik…

#25daysof2025 Thankful for having been part of this year’s Erzählkonzert series with the @rsb_orchester@blumenthalsusanne@m.roetzer@radioeins@rbb for an exciting performance of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, with a live soundtrack ranging from Vivaldi’s Orlando to Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder. This show had the added bonus of making me discover this amazing piece of literature, which kind of blew my mind to be honest, and of course I got out all the feathers…
