2020 start of with my latest project collaboration with the very talented @isaacdw42 . working with you was an pleasure, and the artistic eye he had when we were speaking through our process ... ✌🏿🔥. . . This piece though First project of the year, had a promise for 2019. it's been hard to say the least, and I really struggled to speak about the things that were hurting me. I found out that there were things that you cannot put a value on as they binded to what makes us who we are. Unfortunately 2019 had one last lesson for me to learn. Tragically lost a very close mentor Lincoln Alert Fleary. May you rest in peace, thank you for all the lesson that you taught me in and out of the studio. self love.....we need it, thank you for always reminding me.... . . . I would just like this time to quick thank everyone who has been family/friends/gang you know who you lot all are. thank you for being so understanding... leaving this energy here, As a promise to kick the doors of 2020... FUSION workshop led by Corrie King Firstly let me start by thanking @groundzero.uk for one again giving me the chance to deliver a workshop to such hungry student from all over Europe. . . What was in this workshop: Alot of the time people people don't know what to expect when they take a fusion workshop. Wethwr it be a fusion between style, I hope to deliver a little different. When in my workshop the best way to explain to my students what my workshops are about is, the corridors between rooms, not the rooms themselves. How to fuse different elements for example such as: ■ use of breathe in movement ■ the absence of tension ■ exploring Y&X axis (balance points counter balance) ■ isolations ■the presences of tension ■ Speed ■ Many more... . I hope to help indivdual students with there internal movement conversation they have with themselves. To help explore a student on movement vocabulary, whatever the style of movement. . Then ending the session with a small sequence, using some of the exercises within the sequence to help student further connect and ground them in understanding how these can be used to build choreography. Dream set challenge 🔥 (footage taken from live recording spo not the whole thing) Featuring : @corrie_ography @sai_rish . Started with: 20 press-ups + 20 dips Then dropped 1 rep each set all the way down to 5 Stayed at 5 for 3 extra sets Then climbed all the way back up to 20 . Sounds simple… it’s not 😅 . Here’s the breakdown: ⬇️ Down from 20 to 5 ⏸ Hold at 5 (3 extra sets) ⬆️ Back up to 20 . Total sets: 34 Total reps: 820 (because every number = press-ups and dips) . (We got it done in 40mins) (This is also apart of @corrie_ography normal training set, and he been adding it to the "fitness" section of our artistic development sessions coming real soon)
