I feel so grateful for the encounters I’ve had over the past few months. A few years ago, I was talking with @pablojoseramirez about my work for the catalog of the exhibition *Several Eternities in a Day* at the Hammer Museum, and today I can also read the incredible interviews with the amazing artists featured in the show. Thank you to Pablo José and the whole team for el acojo, their wonderful work and the trust 🦜✨ Thanks to @algo___especial and @juanluisbala for their support messages 🩷 A big hug to the universe 🤲🏼♾️

Honored to be part of Several Eternities in a Day: Form in the Age of Living Materials, opening this Sunday, April 5 ✨ How can materials tell stories across time? From the lifespan of an avocado to millennia of geologic time, living materials take center stage in our upcoming exhibition, « Several Eternities in a Day: Form in the Age of Living Materials. » ⏳ The exhibition brings together 22 artists from across the Americas who work with materials like cacao, cochineal, clay, stone, plants, and natural dyes, substances that evolve, drip, crumble, and transform over time. ENCUENTROS A CURA DI DANNIEL TOSTES • NAOMI GAMARRA E VALESKA ROMERO CURIQUEO I am very grateful to Danniel Toastes @dannieltostes for his invitation and his care. I would also like to thank Valeska Curiqueo @valeska_romero_curiqueo fo her sensitivity and strength. Thank you too Jonas Van @jonasssvan for the sound created and shared with us 🤲🏼 I will soon be posting a montage that my dear Jonathan Ospina @jonathan.ospina filmed during the exhibition. Thank you for your sharp eye 🌹 @sonnenstube.offspace 25.01. - 01.03.2025   Sonnenstube began its 2025 program with an exhibition curated by danniel tostes titled encuentros. the exhibition features productions by naomi gamarra enriched by the performance practice valeska romero curiqueo. encuentros aims to explore the encounter and interaction of different cultural heritages and perspectives. the works presented alludes to the confrontation between colonial legacies and contemporary realities, inviting reflection on how these encounters between past and present, tradition and modernity, shape cultural identity and expression in the present. naomi gamarra is an artist of bolivian and peruvian heritage whose practice delves into the transmission of cultural heritage and the complexities of migration, intrafamily connections, and collective memory. through her work, gamarra critically examines the enduring legacies of colonization in latin america, focusing on the objects, myths, symbols, and syncretic representations born from cultural and political intersections. valeska romero curiqueo centers her artistic research on the body, provoking reflections and rebellious memories. drawing from her cultural heritage and fragmented biography, she crafts transformative fictions that take shape through her body in motion, evoking monstrous identities that allow her to explore desire and self-reinvention. 📸 Mattia Angelini

✨ Now on view at @harvarddrclas : Three Variations of a Diasporic Landscape In how many ways can you be from the same place? What is a « place » after all? Organized as an « intervention » within the hallways and offices and upon the walls of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Three Variations of a Diasporic Landscape presents three artists whose works intertwine in more than one sense: first, they present a longing for a country where the artists feel they belong, but which remains far away for different reasons, and second, they create intricate personal landscapes from this longing. Together, the works form an intimate geography of places and moments which covers a hemisphere, and which now serves to cover the Center with the delicate veil of nostalgia displacement distills. This exhibition brings together Sandra Gamarra (Madrid, Naomi Gamarra (Geneva), and Sarah Zapata (New York), three female artists of Peruvian descent. Their works interweave and cut across the walls and hallways of the Center to visually ask the visitors, passersby, and daily users of the Center why the liminal identities of the diaspora are barely considered when thinking about the Latin American region, despite its growth in numbers due to massive migration, and their economic importance - currently only acknowledged by way of the proverbial « remittances. » Many thanks to @falconi.jose and @mvramosjiles for the invitation and their support 🌹 I also want to thank my dears @jonathan.ospina and @cristianjuradodf for the production, for recording this beautiful video and for accompanying me in this shooting 🩷 🫂 Several videos filmed by the artists and 2 Harvard curators will be shared on social media to bring the exhibition to life with self-guided tours next year ✨ The exhibition is open until June 1, 2026. ° Visit the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University, 1730 Cambridge Street
