Raven Halfmoon’s practice spans torso-scaled and colossal-sized glazed stoneware sculptures. Their enormous scale and visual power oppose existing stereotypes and biases, creating new monuments that honor the artist’s Caddo Nation ancestors and traditions, including the elders from whom she learned about ceramics as a teenager.
Standing over 12 feet tall, ‘Flagbearer’ is en route as our exhibition team prepares the gallery space. Join us Friday, May 1, 5-8 PM for the opening reception!
