Crazy story about this track here. Firstly. I miss my brother Conor. I had been grieving him and my step mum Jennifer for the past two years and finding ways to deal with the pain - and in doing so I was fighting tremendous battles in myself also...
They say the capittulation of things all comes to a head eventually and it did, for me. I blacked out getting up from my chair at desk, cracked my head open and had concussion for about 5 days.
During that time I wrote this song - a conversation with Conor which I don't really remember writing...
I felt like I had passed and been sent back ss I had unfinished business and thankfully, after many tests etc, I'm now in a full bill of health but it was strange.
Anyways.... Stress, grief, depression, anxiety, all of those things equate to a shutdown if you're not careful and I'm delighted to say I've come out of a very dark place and back into the light (not THAT light! Lol) focused and ready to take on the world now that I have survived the worst year of my life.
Sometimes, a track with sound advice from a friend who passed is the only way. ππΌ
