Somehow in the journey, all of us ended up in the wonderful city that is Sheffield, Bert being from Essex, set up Bok Studios at #stagworks and worked with numerous local legends along the way,
@krismcadam from Northern Ireland, a semi pro footballer with a hell of a passion for the axe πΈ and me, a load who travelled the Uk, originally from hampshire until I ended up homeless at 15 and wandering the streets of cornwall, to oxford, to bournemouth to Sheffield.
Somehow the luck of the draw brought us all to Sheffield where we came together over one true passion, music.
It ran through our veins, and ran through the city. Open mic nights and late Sundays at the Cremorne, The Vine, The Pomona and The Earl of Arundel and Surrey sort of brought us together as I found inspiration with creative like minded people along the way, people like
@teddy36912 @opontefract and Conor where in a band called Ubiq and we then formed #burleskimo at Red Cloud, networking with the great cultural creatives of London Road and Beyond.
Our time in Sheffield was monumental for many reasons, we shared studios with some of the great you still see doing it today, played local festivals and collaborated across the board with people that came our way and ultimately, made our own mark, on this truly great city.
From raves under the arches with Jamie to Peace in the park / Dark quests, all three of us, (Me, Kris, and Bert) all experienced the true beating heart of the steel city.
It only felt right then, to collaborate with
@hey_bousche - a man whose talent shouldn't go unacknowledged btw with Mega Squad et al, we found the right man to bring our track to life and float lyrics over a time lapsed back drop of the place which made us all.
What if the wind changed then, and everything stayed the same? πΏ
We'll never know.. Or will we?
Steel city, stand up!
