Big congratulations to our newest promoted Associate Principal, Maria Bubriski. She’s been with Convergence for almost 10 years serving as our Office Manager, overseeing critical operations and project roles.
Originally from the east coast, she’s lived on the West Coast for 18 years and has made a home in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. She is an integral community member, having held positions such as Co-Chair of the St. Johns Museum Steering Committee, St. Johns Farmers Market former manager, and is an active and longtime Board Member of the St. Johns Boosters.
In our office, she wears many hats, leading most of our accounting, HR, office management, marketing, and project controller duties as well as building management and operations. Her organizational and multi-tasking skills have played a key role in our firm’s success these past 10 years. She brings an enthusiastic attitude and passionate approach to community support and inclusion that benefits our firm, community and clients.
Outside of the office, she loves to travel, go fly fishing, play board games, and participates on multiple intramural sports teams.

The Foster Theater’s Grand Opening in SE Portland this weekend was a wonderful success with much to celebrate! As the architect, Eli Elder had a challenge ahead of him to navigate this complex project as a part of the team to help the historic theater through design and permitting and to bring it back to life again. ✨
During the grand opening party, a handful of local performers graced the newly expansive stage, and a jazz trio filled in background music between performances with a massive floor to ceiling visual display screen as the backdrop. An impressive and inspiring mural by @markmolchan , depicting hope, greets you upon entering the main lobby. There was so much buzz around the space, and we are looking forward to watching it provide a stage for what the community has to offer. ✨
