🧨 💥 LAUNCH 2026 is underway! @youthartsandrec is partnering with @constance_ari again to deliver the second iteration of this exciting and unpredictable project. LAUNCH pairs young people with local established artists to create bold, collaborative works across a range of mediums which celebrate experimentation, mentorship, and creative exchange. This opportunity aims to equip the youth participants with ways to build confidence, offer their experience of the world to a wider audience, and to guide an arts project through to exhibition stage. The LAUNCH 2026 exhibition will be open to the public at YARC in nipaluna / Hobart, launching on June 11. Outcomes are currently unfolding, watch this space for further details… This project is in partnership with @youthartsandrec @yarcgallery Constance ARI is supported by @artstasmania and @creative.australia

Hobiennale is coming back!!!!!!!!! Smaller and slower than ever ;) Hobiennale will create space for process-driven, experimental, and politically engaged practices that are often excluded from mainstream institutions. We’re thinking about artist-led approaches, the boundaries of artist-run initiatives, politics, alternative forms of collective and cultural practice, a direct relationship to community, and artists building models that work for them, rather than adapting to existing frameworks. Artists are shaped by the social, political and cultural realities they inhabit. Through exhibitions, performances, workshops and public programs, we will support artists to share work that challenges, provokes and reflects urgent social realities. We understand innovation not as endless expansion, but as a process of reclaiming, rethinking and reworlding — and consider the value of stripping back, re-evaluating what we’ve inherited, making space to listen to histories that continue to shape our cultural present and thinking of time as cyclical and interconnected rather than linear. Anyway, we’ll be around 🍌💛

Thanks to all who joined us for the launch of the Constance ARI Archive exhibition & the Constance ARI Online Archive!! The exhibition at @contemporaryarttasmania continues until the 25th of October so get in quick if you haven't seen it yet. - Also... this Thursday is @creative.australia Aus Art Day! Follow the link in our bio to donate to our fundraiser, to help keep Constance going. - In case you missed the launch on Friday, the Constance ARI Archive exhibition brings together artists from across the life of the organisation — from its early days as Inflight to its current form as Constance 22 years later. This intergenerational assembly of practices reflects the shifting, cyclical nature of artist-run culture: its ruptures, renewals and the communities that sustain it. The exhibition coincides with the launch of the Constance Online Archive. Rejecting fixed hierarchies of record keeping, the archive proposes memory as a shared, living process — one that documents not only projects, but the conditions, relationships and entanglements that shape them. In this way, the archive proposes a site of resistance and reimagining, exploring the porous boundaries between art, place and collective care. Featuring: Neil Haddon, Matt Warren, Grace Gamage, Jacob Leary, Robert O'Connor, Selena de Carvalho, Georgia Lucy, Scot Cotterell, and Caitlin Fargher. Curated by Bonni Que, Hannah Foley and Jade Irvine Archive web design by Jonny Scholes Supported by Arts Tasmania and Contemporary Art Tasmania (CAT) - Installation views: Constance ARI Archive Exhibition.
