Le Consortium Museum a le plaisir d’annoncer une exposition en deux parties consacrée à l’artiste japonais Shigeo Otake (
@shigeootake ) marquant ainsi sa première présentation institutionnelle majeure en Europe.
L’inauguration du premier chapitre, « Nel mezzo del cammin », se tiendra à Venise le 4 mai 2026 et réunira une trentaine d’œuvres réalisées entre 1996 et 2025. Le deuxième chapitre, « Per una selva oscura », sera présenté dans « L’Almanach 26 », biennale du Consortium Museum à partir du 3 juillet 2026 à Dijon. Cette exposition, qui explore les origines de la pratique picturale de l’artiste, réunira des peintures historiques des années 1970 à 1990, ainsi que près d’une centaine de dessins et d’esquisses préparatoires.

@shigeootake ), marking his first major institutional presence in Europe.
This journey begins in Venice on May 4, 2026, with the inauguration of Chapter I, “Nel mezzo del cammin,” featuring approximately thirty works produced between 1996 and 2025. The exploration continues at the Consortium Museum in Dijon on July 3 with Chapter II, “Per una selva oscura,” which delves into the artist’s foundational origins through historical paintings from the 1970s through the 1990s and nearly one hundred drawings and preparatory sketches, as part of the museum’s biennial exhibition “Almanach 26.”
