Our Impact 2023 💯🎉💪 . Through the help of my community and @connectforcause partners, we were able to raise a total of 45.996,11€ for animal welfare and conservation projects in Indonesia this year. I am so proud of the accomplishment and can‘t thank you enough for all the support! ❤️ . Here is a breakdown of the impact. 👇 . We raised a total of 4014€ for @ranuwelum.foundation to support their emergency fire relief efforts in Boreno. They were able to purchase 8x safety uniforms, 6 pcs of fire proof boots, 5x helmets, 3x water hoses, new water pump machine, 50x mask filters, cover logistic costs for 3 months firefighting and much more. 🔥🌳 . We were able to plant 100 trees to restore critical willdife habitat in Sumatra with our partner @leuserconservationforum 🌳 . Together with @dreamxrscollective , we supported @yayasan_rasi with the distribution of 50 pingers and batteries to protect the endangered river dolphin from entanglement of gillnets. 🐬 . We rescued 19 dogs from the cruel dog meat trade in Sumatra with @tobaanimalfriends @ladyfreethinker 🐕 Together as a community, we raised 7538€ to build an emergency shelter, purchase a rescue vehicle and cover the costs of the treatment of the rescue dogs. 🙏 . Our partner @tierliebhaberofficial donated 31,370,11€ to @bawabali_official and we were able to sterilise 121 street dogs, treat 228 injured dogs and vaccinated 91 dogs against rabies at the animal health center. 🐶 . @bawabali_official was also able to expand the dog houses and enclousers through our collaboration and support of @the.franklin additional donation of 2624€. 😍 . We rescued two puppies from the illegal puppy trade in Germany together with @_hunderunde_ and @petadeutschland 🐶 . The Mission Bali Series by @robertmarclehmann launched last November and reaching hundred thousands of people. Together with @mission_erde_ev and @fnpf.id , we have planned an exciting project to increase the endangered Bali Starling Population in Bali. As well a monkey rehabilitation project together with @jakartaanimalaidnetwork and Mission Erde! 🐒 So exciting times! 😍 . Lets scale up the impact in 2024! ❤️ #wildlifeconservation

Today is World Rainforest Day.🌳 . It celebrates the importance of healthy, standing rainforests for climate, biodiversity, culture and livelihoods with the goal to protect and restore them. 🙏 . We @connectforcause support with our partners @leuserconservationforum & @haka_sumatra in the protection and restoration of the rainforest in the Leuser Ecosystem. It’s the last place on earth where Orang-Utans, rhinos, elephants and tigers co-exist together in the wild. 🦧🐘🐅🦏 . A few months ago, I visited our restoration site again to check on our previously planted trees and plant some more. I was totally blown away when one of the rangers showed me the tree that we planted a year ago. It has grown so much and we were able to sit under the tree and enjoy the shade. This was such a special moment for me. 💚🌳 . Let’s protect the lungs of our earth. 🌏 #worldrainforestday

World Environment Day. 🌱 . On this day, I would like to highlight one of @connectforcause impact projects in Sumatra. Together with @leuserconservationforum we have have been restoring and protecting areas of the Leuser Ecosystem the past few years. 🌿 It’s the last place on earth where Orang-Utans, Tigers, Rhinos and elephants still co-exist in the wild. 🐘🦧🦏🐅 . One of the restoration sites was a previous farm land that we have been able to restore to an elephant corridor through planting 400 trees and natural rewilding. Thank you to my community to make this happen and my partner @ovrcme.industries for their support. 🙏 . The rangers from @leuserconservationforum have already seen wild elephants and other wildlife return to their habitat. 😍🐘 . It was a very special moment for me to come back to the restoration site and see the growth of the trees after more than 3 years. 🌳 . TW: It’s hard to watch but has a happy ending for the dogs. ❤️🐕 #dogmeatsurvivors . Every day thousands of dogs are brutally killed for the dog meat trade in Indonesia…😭 . Anita, founder of @tobaanimalfriends tries her best to make a difference through sterilization programs, education and advocacy. . When Anita and our founder @manuelbergmann saw these 15 dogs heading with the truck to the slaughterhouse. We could not just look away and do nothing! We rescued 15 dogs from the back of a truck and got them out of the horrible situation. 🙏 . Most of the dogs are in terrible condition, malnourished, and traumatized. Within 5 days, Toba Animal Friends built temporary fencing and a roof for cover to shelter the dogs with the help of Connect for Cause, Voggs Media and Ladyfreethinker. The dogs are recovering and safe now, but we still need your help! 🫶 . These dogs are the voice of many dogs out there that are still suffering from the cruelty of the dog meat trade. Together we can make a difference in their lives and many others! .
