We’re excited to celebrate the work of kindred spirits, Celeste Neuhaus and Fred Blauth with two solo exhibitions opening Friday, April 3. Presented side by side, these exhibitions highlight their mutual influence and distinctly individual expressions as artists, makers and performers.
Celeste Neuhaus
@celesteneuhaus @conjure_creativity (she/they) is a multimodal artist and witch whose work transmutes magic, ecology, and healing into painting, sculpture and performative works that illuminate the deep interrelationships between the bodily, psychological, political, ecological, and cosmological. STATE CHANGE invites us into alchemical transformation by recognizing our grief and rage, enabling a felt sense of fierce love for the world.
In his debut solo exhibition, Wish, Fred Blauth
@__fr.ed transforms everyday objects into a series of wands. More than found objects or sculptures, they become tools for play and creation. In his words, “I believe in the power of art as an answer as a key, a portal, a cure, hope, joy, play, magic, connection, and love.”
