𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹: 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵! Marmomac kicked off this Tuesday, and we can finally share with you full images of Baroque Glitch. Designed by @dlwhite , Assistant Professor at FAU School of Architecture, this piece explores how digital techniques can transform stone. Printed in limestone using CONCR3DE’s advanced 3D printing technology, Baroque Glitch is an architectural fragment, where structure and surface are combined. An AI-generated Baroque style pattern flows across both sides, creating a surface that changes as you move around it. Our technology allows us to reach this level of detail and precision beyond what traditional methods can achieve. Stay tuned for more exciting projects!

CONCR3DE participated in SLOTLAB, a research project exploring innovative construction techniques inspired by traditional crafts and building trades. The source of inspiration is the reconstruction of Schaesberg Castle, a castle ruin from the 17th century in Landgraaf, the Netherlands. SLOTLAB forged a connection between designers, the construction industry and education in five ‘mirroring projects’. Each project aimed to recreate  a specific part of Schaesberg Castle, focusing on the circular use of local materials. Among the five parts of the SLOTLAB project, CONCR3DE contributed to two key areas: the roof tiles and of fireplace prostheses. Thanks to SLOTLAB, we were able to combine 3D printing technology with traditional craftsmanship and sustainability. Our Armadillo White 3D printer, a fully open binder jetting system, was instrumental in this. Its customizable hardware, open material platform, and accessible software allow for printing with virtually any material. Would you like to know what our technology can do for you? CONCR3DE’s binder jetting technology allows you to print with virtually any material, including a wide array of bio-based options. We designed and manufactured this striking piece, using salt and biobased polymer blend with an aqueous binder, which enhanced the natural translucency of the salt. This project won the 3DPC Challenge in 2017. Our bio-based materials can be used not only for product design but also high-tech applications such as water-soluble tooling and beyond. This demonstrates the incredible potential of our Armadillo White 3D printer in processing all kinds of mineral and other materials. #3DPrinting #SustainableMaterials #Biobased #CONCR3DE #saltlamp #design

Gothic Reimagined is a groundbreaking project that explores the intersection of AI, 3D printing, and traditional craftsmanship. This project features the first-ever AI-generated image (created using MidJourney) translated into a 3D form and physically realized in stone. @dlwhite a pioneer in digital design, utilized AI as a tool for rapid concept sketching, developing a refined dialogue with the AI to produce compelling “Gothic Reimagined” images. The design team meticulously translated these 2D AI-generated images into the 3D realm, paving the way for new design workflows. Our expertise in 3D printing with powdered stone brought these digital creations to life, connecting the project to the historical context of Gothic architecture. The AI’s generated shapes were faithfully reproduced by CONCR3DE’s 3D printer. This project was a testament to the power of collaboration, bringing together AI, designers, and fabricators to create a unique and innovative work of art. #CONCR3DE #3dprinting #AI #design #art #gothic

Witness as our Armadillo achieve another remarkable feat in historical renovation! @3dmakerszone used our 3D printer to repair the statue on the facade of the @wereldmuseum.amsterdam , which stood there amputated for a long time, with a stone 3D-printed prosthesis that is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Based on this 3D model, a perfectly fitting prosthesis was designed by one of 3DMZ designer in various 3D sculpting programs. The hand, which is holding a roll of paper, was precisely recreated in 3D drawing software, on the basis of only a few very old photos in which the statue still had this original hand. Rupert Restauratie employed pigments and other treatments in order to come as close as possible to the original. The arm was 3D printed using recycled stone powders, demonstrating the incredible potential of additive manufacturing in making historical restoration efficient and environmentally friendly. #additivemanufacturing #restoration #3Dprinting #CONCR3DE #sustainability #historicalrenovation
