With today’s presentation of our new corporate strategy, BASF is setting a new direction for portfolio steering, capital allocation and performance culture. Our ambition is to be the preferred chemical company to enable our customers’ green transformation.
The new #WinningWays strategy builds on four strategic levers: Focus, Accelerate, Transform and Win.
With the strategic lever #Focus, BASF is redefining its approach to the management of its portfolio. The company now differentiates between core businesses (Chemicals, Materials, Industrial Solutions and Nutrition & Care) and standalone businesses that serve specific industries (Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions, Battery Materials, Coatings, Agricultural Solutions).
With #Accelerate, BASF’s new strategy targets more speed in value generation and the simplification of its organization. BASF will empower its businesses through more streamlined and differentiated group steering.
Shaping the green transformation is at the center of #Transform. BASF is taking a phased approach to the green transformation based on and catering to increasing customer demand.
With #Win, BASF will increase accountability, speed and performance orientation throughout the company.

Announced in 2023, commissioned in 2025, first products delivered in 2026 - the plan for our new fermentation plant for biological and biotechnology-based crop protection products at the Ludwigshafen site has been a complete success. With a high double-digit million euro investment, BASF is enhancing its biological innovations portfolio. The facility will produce biological fungicides and seed treatment products, offering farmers innovative, sustainable crop protection solutions.
Ludwigshafen is the home of AdBlue® by BASF. For over 20 years, the urea solution has been produced here at the headquarters – and shipped from there to customers around the world. This classic product has long been an internationally sought-after export hit – yet it continues to evolve. With new, more sustainable variants and ongoing optimizations, BASF is continuously driving the further development of AdBlue® by BASF.
You already know how cool our Cavipor® insulation system is 😉 But how does the clay foam actually get into the house wall?
Spoiler: The three Cavipor® components are foamed directly on site and injected into the wall through small drill holes. The foam flows in a controlled way through the entire cavity without further expansion, surrounds uneven areas, and adheres securely to all surfaces. This ensures the insulation ends up exactly where it’s needed to be effective.
