Currently in the midst of music rehearsals here in Vilnius for a new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in which I am playing Bottom 🫏 So excited to be getting my teeth into this role surrounded by so many wonderful colleagues. HAPPY WORLD OPERA DAY! 🎭 – HGO 2022 Vixen Throwback 🦊 As I find myself in the practice room preparing for some exciting future projects (announcement coming soon!), I thought I’d share a few photos from a couple of years ago that I never posted. These are from @hgopera ’s award-winning production of The Cunning Little Vixen by Janáček, in which I played the dual roles of the Badger and the Parson. In these shots you can spot me with both of the fabulous Vixens, @carolinetaylorsoprano and @chelseakolic . Production dream team: Conducted by @lada_valesova , directed by @eleanorjoyburke and designed by @charlottehenery It was such a fantastic production — I can’t believe I hadn’t shared any photos until now! 📸: @laurentcphotos

As we find ourselves properly in autumn on this 1st of October, I thought I’d take the opportunity to share some photos from the Da Ponte Festival production of Don Giovanni that I was lucky enough to be part of this August and September. Performing this opera in Vittorio Veneto, the hometown of Lorenzo Da Ponte himself, made it all the more special. I can’t believe it’s been nearly three weeks since we closed the curtain on this show. I loved every minute of playing Masetto; the big-hearted, quick-to-anger dope who goes from newlywed to cuckolded in five minutes, has explosive arguments and even bigger reconciliations, gets beaten black and blue by Don Giovanni, and still comes back swinging for revenge. Just your average Saturday night! I was incredibly lucky to share the stage (and a villa!) with a group of fantastic colleagues. Thankfully, they were as good housemates as they were singers. Special shoutout to @ellieneatesoprano for being both a brilliant scene partner as Zerlina and for letting me talk her ear off whenever we weren’t called. It was the best possible way to end what has been a wonderful summer. Huge thanks to Andrew Foan @daponteoperafestival for making it all happen. ⸻ Cast Don Giovanni – Tim BAGLEY @timbagleybaritone Leporello – Nicolò DONINI @donininicolo Donna Anna – Monica MCGHEE @monica_mcghee Don Ottavio – Egor ZHURAVSKII @i_am_zhuravskii Donna Elvira – Mariana POLTORAK @mariana.poltorak Zerlina – Ellie NEATE @ellieneatesoprano Masetto – Conall O’NEILL Commendatore – Luca SOZIO @lucabassflutist Creatives Artistic Director – Andrew FOAN @daponteoperafestival Conductor – Roberto FANTINEL @roberto.fantinel.official Director – Cecilia STINTON @cecilia.stinton Italian Coach – Alessandra FASOLO @alessandra_fasolo1 Production Design & Costumes – Amber REEVES @amberrmezzo Orchestra – ORCHESTRA 1749 📸 @andreamaroelli @iamvittorioveneto

Can’t believe it’s been nearly a month since opening Der Vampyr at the @arcolatheatre with @gothic_opera . A 🩸bloody🩸 good time was had by all! A feminist retelling of a German classic, Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets What We Do in Shadows, interspersed with newly written English Dialogue. 🧛🏻 This ticks of another language (German 🇩🇪) with only Russian to go of the main Operatic Languages. This was a special opera to be my first German as it is by Heinrich Marschner a Hannover local (there is even a statue of him in Opernplatz). A few special mentions! Thank you @mintzerjulia for you for your guidance through this out of the box retelling, I really enjoyed bringing your and @charlieogilvie sick and twisted vision to life! @kellylovelady thank you for your trust, it was always a pleasure working with you. @vendyp_sm thanks for keeping us all safe. And finally to my amazing cast-mates: @gp_the_bb , @milenaknausssoprano , @grainnegillis.voice , @amberrmezzo , @madeleinetoddsoprano , @jackroberts1308 , @matthewscottclark_official thank you! ’Til the next time! 🧛🏻⚰️🦇💀🩸
