I’ll be taking my final ‘Be True for 22’ workshop today at 16:00 BST.
The workshop sees me polishing and reprocessing all the individual sounds from the track, and then rebuilding the arrangement and working out ways to improve the mix.
I’m doing this 16 years after it was originally produced and I’ll be using many tools that weren’t available back then so it’ll be interesting to see how much I can improve the mix.
It’s a really interesting project and should be a great insight into how I work and I the various techniques I use.

Recently i found a folder containing the samples for 'Be True'.
We thought they’d been lost on a broken HD.
So I’ve decided to rebuild it and re-mix it for 2022, live on Zoom.
This is gonna be an interactive workshop type scenario with an opportunity for you guys to ask me some productions questions and offer up any ideas you might have for the mix. I will also be talking you through my processes and offering up some of the lesser known stories about the track.
Rest assured these 2 hour workshops will be jam packed with useful techniques and insights for anyone finding their feet as a producer.

@shifted___ and myself wrote Be True in the spare room at guys mums place in 2006. We played it the same evening at @whp_mcr and it blew tf up like nothing we’d seen before. Will never forget that moment!
Still, we never imagined it would have the effect it has…
20 years later its being performed by a 60 piece orchestra in the Royal Festival Hall. Pure goosebumps moment!
