Every Woman Has a Voice
As this yearâs International Womenâs Day march focuses on gendered violence, I chose to highlight women from Palestine, Sudan, and Latin America. Women who are migrants, refugees, or displaced are more likely to experience gendered violence. However, many of these womenâs stories are overlooked due to their race, ethnicity, or religion. Holding each otherâs arms symbolizes a shared struggle but also the strength to forge ahead together towards a better future.

I'm excited to share that I'm presenting a new comic called "The Vizard" at The Vestibule in Seattle alongside works by talented Latinx artists @_xochitl.gomez@microvalevolent , @elisa.dore , @intheclovers , @adelaide_blair , @diegoegaribay , and @iobreese in a group exhibition called No Sabo.
No Sabo explores what it means to be a Latino/a/e/x who does not speak Spanish well or at all. The exhibition addresses how one navigates cultural expectations, familial relationships, and self-identity when a key component of how Latinos are traditionally defined is missing.
