Inspired by sunset food sharing, such as Iftars, picnics and block parties, the Golden Hour Immersive Dining Experience was a magical celebration, showcasing the rich and vibrant cultures here in Redbridge.
Working with Hackney School of Food, we curated a culturally-rich, four-course menu inspired by local stories from people in Redbridge, with live performances reflecting the stories we had collected, written and directed by Mia Jerome and performed at the Ilford Exchange.🎉

The spectacular ‘Home Away From Home’ project was the closing event for the Colours of Redbridge ‘Other Worlds’ programme which has engaged tens-of-thousands of people across Redbridge. The moving masterpiece was brought to life with fantastic craft workshops and South Asian performances. 🎉
The ‘Home Away From Home’ truck has been designed by local groups to reflect what home means to them, exploring local heritage and identity in Redbridge, East London. Bespoke panels reflect different themes such as music, sports, local landmarks, pets and food – all which are important to local community members and where they live. ❤️
The panels were created in Pakistan by expert truck artist Abid Bhai and brought to life in the UK by local blacksmith, Felicity Jones, who customised the electric van. The project has also been supported by The Leap in Bradford and local artists Momtaz Begum-Hossain, Sheyamali Sudesh and light artists Bailes+Light, all overseen by Colours of Redbridge and a group of dedicated Community Producers! 👏

The artwork brings together local stories about culture and nature to create a vibrant, colourful celebration you can now enjoy in person. Thanks to the amazing creativity of local residents, sign writer and canal artist Ginny Barlow and mural artist Auberi Chen from Watching Paint Dry Productions.

Did you #UnleashYourCreativity at Rediscover Redbridge last week? A whopping 2,500 people came to Redbridge Central Library for a full day of free, creative fun! ✨ From hands‑on workshops to toe-tapping performances, the event showcased all of the amazing creativity that Redbridge has to offer.
If you came along, we’d love to know what you thought! Huge thanks to all of the creative organisations who came to showcase their work.
🎨 Visitors got to enjoy a range of creative workshops and displays, including Truck Art, marbling, giant sculptures, face painting, story times, dance workshops and loads more - all completely free and open to residents of Redbridge.

🎨 Fairlop Waters just got a big splash of colour! 🎨
A brand-new mural now brightens the side of Owls Play Centre, based on the stories of local residents. The final design captures tales of romantic sunset walks, school sailing adventures and treasured childhood memories.
Colours of Redbridge were commissioned by the London Borough of Redbridge to make the new artwork. The final design was made by sign writer and canal artist Ginny Barlow who transformed the stories into a colourful design featuring mandala sunsets, floral motifs and traditional signwriting techniques. Mural artist Auberi Chen and Watching Paint Dry Productions guided the installation and ran workshops for community members could have a go at painting the design.

🌈 It’s been a vibrant showcase of local creativity, with free workshops, gallery spaces, and stalls highlighting activities from local creative and cultural organisations - a fantastic way to get inspired and explore what’s on offer.
✨ It’s been amazing to see so many people coming together to discover the incredible creative activities happening right here in our borough - many of which are totally free!
