A Mixed Media Journey to the Self with Artist Charlotte Trower
Who are you behind the roles you play?
We all wear "masks"—the versions of ourselves we present to the world to feel safe, professional, or accepted. This workshop is an invitation to gently peel back those layers and explore the authentic self beneath the surface.
Join Lottie for an explorative, relaxed workshop where you will explore and express through collage and a variety of materials. Expect: Meditation, being crafty, connecting with others, and possible movement.
Lottie is an artist, creative, and sound practitioner dedicated to the healing power of art and connection. Through mixed media and sound, Lottie facilitates spaces for deep restoration. As the co-founder of Well Social CIC, Lottie extends her practice through workshops and projects for the well-being of communities at Stoneford Community Garden, Dagenham East and touring projects in neighbouring boroughs.

Wednesday Fun Club
@ Orchard Village
Geojam returned to Wednesday Fun Club this week with their fabulous mosaic tiles, bringing plenty of colour and creativity to the session. Group B really enjoyed getting stuck in, choosing either a circular or square wooden board as their base and exploring the wide range of beautiful tiles available.
One participant took their design a step further by using two wooden boards to create a tiled dinosaur, cleverly extending the tail onto the second board before filling in the remaining space with vibrant tiles. Once the designs were complete, grout was applied to fill the gaps, and each piece was carefully cleaned with a sponge to reveal the finished creations.

Wednesday Fun Club
@ Orchard Village
This week we got creative with Geojam by designing mosaic tiles. Participants stuck little tiles onto wooden boards and filled in the gaps with grout, exploring all sorts of shapes and colours. It was a proper hands‑on, slightly messy session, and lots of people ended up making more than one piece.
By the end we had a lovely spread of finished mosaics ready for everyone to take home—perfect for a display cabinet or even as a quirky coaster!

Food Jam
@ Rainham Royals Youth Centre
Food Jam continued with Trinidadian Supper Club, with Chef Jenny making a starter of plantain cups, which had a bean filling that was carefully placed into cupcake liners. This was served along with cassava fries and pink sauce. The delicious mains served were chicken stew, coconut and chickpea curry, steamed vegetables and rice. As conversation starters, questions and facts about Trinidad and Tobago were given to participants, where they learned interesting facts. They were also asked to draw a picture of what they associate with Trinidad and Tobago. Conversation flowed, and participants had a great time getting to know each other, meeting new people and had a lovely meal. Stay tuned for the next supper club!
