The words are still missing. How do you name this kind of pain? On Friday night, before I even knew, I was feeling your presence, your energy still moving through the world. Since I woke up on Saturday morning, I’ve been feeling your absence, very loud.
You are one of the most inspiring artists I know. And such a generous, wild, beautiful friend. Your work and your dancing always destabilized me in the best way. Playful like a child, like dogs. Forever curious. You had this presence that was so special. Sharp as a knife. Yet so soft; like a towel, a straw, a handkerchief, a photograph, a summer dress... I’m grateful I could dance with you, a total pleasure. I rarely met someone so committed to her art.
Friday morning, Ellen danced your piece, The Beach, accompanied by Hanako. And so many other people who love you were there. It was such a beautiful way to honour you. It was truly powerful. I’m glad I could be part of it. I wish you could have seen it. I wish I could hug you one last time. I wish you didn’t suffer so much.
Let’s hold each other close folks.
I love you, Maria. And we all love you.
Rest in peace dear Maria 🤍

Larry Mitchell écrivait « The more you share, the less you need.
Ça me faisait trop mal à l’époque.
And a very special thought for you, John @jnfld81 . I send you so much love and the warmest hugs 🫂.
Tu me manques déjà tellement. Repose en paix Jocelyn ❤️❤️❤️

Hello ! I'm organizing a special presentation of rock bottom, the performance that I created in collaboration with @gab.cho last January. It's on Saturday, November 11 at @ateliersbelleville . And guess what? The performance is also a fundraiser ! For funding the first tour of rock bottom at the YC Festival (@haut_scene ) in Copenhagen, Denmark! It's an opportunity to discover or rediscover this work that my collaborators and I put a lot of heart and guts into. It's about the mouth, the anus and everything in between.
"A desire to tell oneself through humiliation, to make the bottom of the barrel a space of connection. A movement performance that forms an intestine with the gut feelings of @emilepineault@gab.cho@wengnientzu@folding.confusion@tim.thom@katiejeanward@soft_sloth@mr_radley@darahmiah@acrobatetoimeme@mrclfa and all my lovers…"
