NEW YORK | Our latest kitchen concept for a West Village townhouse. Varying sizes of blue limestone on the backsplash, a custom smoked oak island, vintage Audoux Minet rope stools upholstered in a vintage tapestry, and a Lisa Johansson-Pape tube lamp pendant from a Finland, c. 1940’s.
The key to this design was to use large swaths of material to make the space feel more expansive. The reworked layout maximizes the kitchen into an “L” configuration allowing for a good sized island with seating.

Two years ago we started a @substack as a bit of an experiment, and has turned into something we care deeply about and look forward to sharing.
We felt there was a gap in design media and wanted to create a place to talk about the things we’re constantly paying attention to. Auctions, incredible finds, cultural observations and industry shifts.. the ideas that spark the best conversations!
It’s became a place to share our world and connect with such an intelligent community of people who seem to be thinking about many of the same things.
