We’ve loved welcoming people into our new space and sharing new skills and experiences. Thanks to everyone who has made this year possible and we can’t wait to get cracking again in 2025!
It’s been an amazing couple of weeks in the workshop - a time of meetings, to sit and talk through the project, and its purpose. A time of real coming together, of different characters, around different problem solving with the bikes. And a time of meeting a few new people, people that might just be passing through, and people that might become part of the furniture and integral to the community.
It feels like an exciting time of pulling together, honing the direction and building the community at Boatyard Bikes. What an honour an a blessing to sit somewhere in the middle of!

It was fantastic to see such a great group come together, support one another, and get stuck in throughout the sessions. The energy, encouragement, and willingness to try something new made it a really special experience.

Women in the Workshop is currently run through funding support, and we would love to keep it going and reach even more women. To do that, we need continued funding and support. If you or your organisation would like to help us expand this initiative, please get in touch 🩷
We are really excited to be running this 4 week course at Co Create! Join a hands-on Wood & Boat Building Skills Course led by a seasoned boat builder. Learn basic woodworking techniques & get involved in restoring a real boat on the quayside.
Starts Thursday 7th May, 10am - 12pm for 4 weeks

Highlights from a special evening sharing poetry on Friday night. Huge respect to all the writers who got up and offered words - we are richer for hearing them!
