I think blood oranges are sooooo sexy. Theyāre my current obsession and I havenāt stopped buying them for the past two weeks. This sorbet combo is to-die-for.
BUKO PIE + PANDAN & FIG LEAF ICE CREAM
This one takes me back. A hazy memory of being on the roads somewhere in Laguna. Itās dark, the combination of the warm wind coming through the window and a weekend most likely spent swimming has me in a daze. Somewhere in between sleep and post holiday bliss. There are signs everywhere āBuko Pie 4 Saleā. The glow emanating from the bamboo huts and makeshift stands peppered along the road is almost like a beacon. We canāt drive by and not buy buko pie, weāre in Laguna after all. That would be sacrilegious!
Ever since I found out you can flavour things with fig leaf I wanted to create this combo of flavours. This is a play on a Filipino dessert called Buko Pandan.
