I'm so very excited to announce the release of two new albums I've been working on over the past four years, coming in early 2024!! After a lengthy process, I feel honoured to share this work with the world, and grateful to the community for its immensity in love. I am so grateful to @tilmanr , co-producer of 'And the Wind,' for such patience, care and attention to detail. The Penny String Quartet ( @madeleinejevons , @nataliaharvey , @anthonychataway & @durrie_butts ) for such sensitivity and musicianship. To dear gorgeous friend @theo_carbo , who patiently worked with me on many revisions of the mix - your faith has birthed this music. To @pattelfer , for engineering - your sense of community is urgent. To @lachlanjc , for the seamless and beautiful master. I will properly thank the wider team involved closer to release.. The music will be performed on March 9th, 2024 with the generous support of the @cityofmelbourne , @centreforprojectionart , IgniteLAB at Melbourne University, and the Allan C Rose Memorial Trust. I am privileged beyond words to be working with @carlazimbler , an honest visual artist whose work is timely and beautiful, @magg._z , one of the most inspiring movement artists I have ever seen, and musicians additional to those above, Meg Cohen (violin) & Peggy Lee (cello). One final thing: In a culture so addicted to stimulation, novelty and information, it is hard to justify adding to the noise. In the last few years I have shied away from giving my thoughts, and yet something in me feels a sense of urgency. We live in a culture which is dislocated from itself, yearning for something which is absent. A closeness to oneself and so, a closeness to others. This disassociation has implications as far reaching as the climate crisis, polarisation and division, a mistrust of emotion, narrow conceptions of self, and a profound confusion about the nature of wellbeing. We are lost. This fills me with a great sorrow and has become the incentive for all the work that I do. I want to speak more about this in the future, but for now this feels necessary to write. All of my love x

Exploring Macedonia, June 2025 – The last one is a photo of me sitting on the ruins of the house my father was born in… As one of the only people in the family to ever go back, I discovered relatives we didn’t know existed, and was shown a kindness which feels so familiar and yet is like nothing I’ve ever experienced.. Dad and the family emigrated from Macedonia in the 1950s due to famine and civil war (when he was only one year old), and even lost a sister before they left.. I am so incredibly lucky to be a part of this family, and to study its history is a blessing – the world has a childhood Xxx

I'm really quite speechless and incredibly grateful that the amazing @phoenixcentralpark is presenting my work four more times between October 28th + 29th (2 shows per night) at their beautiful, transcendent space in Sydney Presented as (what I thought would be) a one time show at the Norla Dome in Docklands (March 2024) - I was very lucky to get to develop this piece with some of my favourite artists: movement artist @magg._z , visual artist @carlazimbler , producer/electronic artist @tilmanr & @madeleinejevons , Meg Cohen, @mollycob & @d.m.moran xxx The initiative at Phoenix Central Park is extremely meaningful, as they give free tickets out for shows via ballot entry (where tickets are drawn) - To enter the ballot, there is a link on my profile!! With love, xxx

Feeling so very grateful to beautiful and angelic @helensvoboda_music for being a part of this new piece, ‘Woven Sun,’ performed a few weeks ago at Tempo Rubato – I was also very lucky to have had such a thoughtful quartet of musicians, beauties @sim_svob , @ishede , @d.m.moran & @piecesofhelen !! This wouldn’t have been possible without the decision to put on a show with @sim_svob , whose music you simply must check out – and I must say there was something hauntingly beautiful about having two siblings (who have such a special and silly connection) come together for this performance!! And the gracious @georginaclewis and @temporubato_au  ❤️❤️ Here are some favourite moments beautifully documented by @yiannirowlands & @antho.knees  ❤️❤️ And lastly, here are some of the program notes from the evening xx “As a budding psychotherapist, I have been lucky enough to witness the process of nature within human beings in incredible, inspiring and unbelievable ways. In the conditioned mind, the mechanics and linearity of life appear fundamental – yet behind the veil emerges a shared and undeniable sense of freedom and beauty. I am in awe of this process. In this pursuit, I am often intrigued by the inexplicable non-division of the beauty, life and vibrance – from the suffering, ignorance and sorrow it is coated by. - A girl awakens in the forest – disturbed in dreaming of the heavens. She has come to find enlightenment, to find freedom. Sitting beneath the trees, she attempts to still the mind. There is conflict, as the river has long been forgotten. Patience dwindles, yet before defeat – small pockets of sorrow swell up, like water begging to be freed from its abandoned well. She is relieved, as the gifts of sadness permit her playfulness. Enlivened, she seeks answers – following those who claim the truth. Intoxicated by division, her realization is tainted. Years pass, until the prosperity of solitude calls again. A way a lone her heart a map, at last she sees them overlap. A well a tear no longer shunned, it leads her to a woven sun.” Xxx

I am so lucky to have found one of the most loving, gorgeous and caring people in the world - and to call her my partner has been one of many gifts.. I met Ava because she asked me to be composer for one of the most heartfelt and thoughtful films I’ve ever seen - a film about her family and life story.. Not only have I been so lucky to have gotten to know her as a person, but to work with and learn from as a beautiful director - along with her amazing team.. The film is stunning and is doing the festival circuit with screenings around the world in places like Toronto, Palm Springs and Dublin after screenings at ACMI for several festivals here.. Ava also received the critics choice award for Melbourne Women in Film Festival, and has been recognised in many other ways.. We decided to release the music as a very short collection of pieces.. but in my honest opinion, they are no comparison to watching the film itself! Many thanks to gorgeous @pattelfer for mixing and mastering this little collection xx The film will play in Melbourne again on July 19th as part of Melbourne Documentary Film Festival Festival - if you can make it you certainly won’t regret it!! Recent thoughts in retrospect to the year.. (I am in love with the poetry in movement artist @magg._z 's work!!) There is so much judgement. Judgement that is crude, judgement that is considered, judgement that is masked as taste, as personality.. But what is judgement if not division? Division of experience and therefore, rejection of experience. An asserting of the self. What is a mind that is free of judgement? What is a mind that is free to witness colour in the world without division, without imposition of the individual upon that world? What is an artist? Is the job of the artist not to see with great clarity, the texture of nature without division? And what are humans if not created by and therefore characterised by nature? Having just finished first placement as psychotherapist... How grateful to be working with people who share the most intimate parts of themselves.. An honour to feel I am witnessing nature’s work at its core, and hard to feel I am deserving... Reminiscing on the beautiful projects I was able to witness this year.. Looking so very forward to be working on new things!! My heart is full again… (Footage by @yiannirowlands )
