Made it to 8 of the 9 lakes along Big Pine Lakes Trail [5/9/26] and even though only 3 of them were fully thawed, it was beautiful.
This region has been called the Patagonia of California with its backdrop of 14k foot tall granite peaks, gorgeous lakes, and a view of the Palisade Glacier, the largest glacier in the Sierra Nevada and the southernmost permanent glacier in the nation.

Essendon historical society fund raiser today @palacecinemas in Moonee Ponds. The sheep detectives was the selected movie, a lovely story with great animation too. Ironically as we are cloud lovers, the story was even more special. Sebastian, we will keep looking up.
