Thanks to everyone that came out last weekend ~ SATURDAY we finally grace the stage at @bowlero_detroit for @the_hourlies single release party ! The twang begins at 9pm ☮️ • Our guitarist JJ has some family in town all the way from Slovakia, including his 11 year old niece Zoijka who is a blossoming songwriter. We learned one of her tunes and she’ll be performing it with us this ONE NIGHT ONLY ! See you there💐

Our new single “Magma Man” is out now! A while back I had the pleasure of participating in a songwriting course through @school_of_song taught by the incredible @robinpecknold of @fleetfoxes ~ the first exercise was to write a song in 20mins using a series of images/phrases as inspiration, and Magma Man is what came out of those 20mins☮️ • We recorded it live in my living room with minimal overdubs, much love to everyone who had a hand in making this one! • JJ Stanbury - Lead guitar, Organ Dan Mulkaren - Bass @ayeneemz - Drums @pickin_pete - Pedal Steel Me - Guitar/Vocals/Engineering Mixed and mastered by @chaztreedog and I • We hope to see you tonight at @new_dodge_lounge for our show with @anothermichaelofficial @tenci.band @corner_lunch ! 📸: Cedric Yee

‘Sweet Cheeks’ is out NOW! I wrote this one on the shore of Mullet Lake in northern Michigan earlier this fall, for my sweet @danniedowner while she slept in the cabin. I recorded it in our living room the following week. Since we’ve been together I’ve felt a lot less self-judgment in writing songs, and her love and support have brought out a whole new creative side of me.
