Across Three Mirrors, the renewed urgency of @michelangelo_pistoletto âs thinking unfolds as a visionary reflection on our time, where the symbol of The Third Paradise calls for a new balance between nature and artificiality in an era shaped by climate crisis and artificial intelligence:
đŞ âThird Paradiseâ establishes the symbolic framework. Two opposing circles are joined by a third central space, proposing a passage toward a new stage of humanity in which apparent opposites do not cancel one another but generate equilibrium.
đŞ âFormula of Creationâ articulates the generative principle within that symbol: 1+1=3. From the meeting of two forces emerges a third element. The encounter between âIâ and âYouâ produces âWe,â transforming duality into relationship and shared responsibility.
đŞ âStatodellarteâ extends this logic into civic life, proposing creativity as a form of citizenship in which freedom is inseparable from responsibility and art becomes an active condition of society.

#ThreeMirrors Michelangelo Pistoletto once described his Mirror Paintings as openings rather than images, surfaces that do not contain the world but allow it to enter. In Three Mirrors (2026), created in collaboration with CIRCA, that idea moves fully into the public realm, where the work is no longer confined to a studio or gallery but unfolds across cities, screens and shared time.
Launching globally on 1 April and broadcast daily at 20:26 (local time), Three Mirrors is a new moving image commission filmed at @cittadellarte in Biella, the foundation Pistoletto established as a space for thinking through artâs role in society. Here, at the age of 92, he returns to the mirror once again, drawing directly onto its surface, not to produce a static image but to set a sequence of ideas in motion.
The work unfolds as a triptych: Third Paradise, Formula of Creation and Statodellarte. Each begins with a simple gesture, a mark made on mirrored steel, yet each opens outward into something larger. What emerges is not a narrative in the traditional sense but a progression of thought, moving from symbol to relationship to civic life.
In Third Paradise, the familiar infinity sign is interrupted and reconfigured. A third space appears between two opposing forces, suggesting not conflict but the possibility of balance. In Formula of Creation, this idea becomes relational: 1+1=3, where the meeting of âIâ and âYouâ produces âWe.â By the time we arrive at Statodellarte, the logic has shifted into the public sphere, where creativity is no longer an individual act but a shared condition, inseparable from responsibility.

As the year comes to a close, a little good news.
For one night in December, childrenâs paintings replaced advertising on @piccadillylights . The work was created by pupils from 32 London state primary schools taking part in the CIRCA PIPELINE with Sir Frank Bowling.
Over six weeks, 7,152 children were given free art materials and time to create. For many, it was their first time working on canvas. For all of them, their first public exhibition.
After the lights went down, teachers, families and friends gathered for a drink at the Groucho Club with special thanks to @noam_official and @tenthmusevodka
Each sale of Frankâs hand signed print, Understanding Frank, funds art materials for 300 more children and helps us take the CIRCA PIPELINE nationwide.

London is complete. Now help take this nationwide.
Tomorrow we reveal the work of 7,162 students from 32 state primary schools on @piccadillylights . As this moment comes into view, the next phase of the CIRCA PIPELINE begins. Expanding the programme across the United Kingdom is funded through the sale of Sir Frank Bowlingâs limited edition print, Understanding Frank (ÂŁ6,000).
Each print sold directly funds the art materials needed for 300 children to take part, protecting creative time in classrooms where it is increasingly at risk.

In loving memory of @pamhoggfashion â¨
Pam was a force of nature whose imagination lit up every room and every street she moved through. She lived with rare courage, creating from a place of truth, defiance, beauty and heart. Her presence around CIRCA was always electric, always generous, always driven by a belief that art could speak to people in ways words never fully could.
We will miss her glow, her voice, her punk resolve and her kindness. Her spirit will keep moving through the work she gave us and through the people she touched along the way.
Thank you Pam, for everything.
