Last week, the @lacityopa team visited Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) to see firsthand the incredible work they do as a FamilySource Center. For many community members, CCNP is a trusted bridge to essential resources—including application guidance for @ladwp1 financial assistance programs. As the need for these services grows, their role in providing one-on-one support is more critical than ever. Thank you, @laccnp and @cifdla , for an insightful afternoon. We are committed to ongoing collaboration in highlighting utility affordability challenges. #CCNP #CIFD #CommunityCollaboration #LADWP

May is Older Americans Month, a time to recognize the contributions, and wisdom older adults provide to our communities every day. The City of Los Angeles recognizes older adults and honors them for all they have done and continue to do for their families and communities. We continue to commemorate the legacy they have built throughout their lives and the pathway they pave for future generations of Angelenos.

Yesterday, General Manager Abigail Marquez and Assistant General Manager Gerardo Ruvalcaba joined Mayor Karen Bass to sign Executive Directive 20 at the City’s WorkSource Center located at LA Trade Tech College. Executive Directive 20 ensures the City fully uses its hiring, procurement, and contracting power to expand access to meaningful jobs and career pathways for justice-impacted Angelenos. This executive directive serves as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together to invest in our communities. This work will help more Angelenos build lasting stability for themselves and their families.

Today, we joined @peaceovrviolnce and City leaders in recognizing Denim Day, an annual campaign that stands in support of survivors of sexual assault and violence. Nearly half of women and over 1 in 6 men in the U.S. experience sexual violence in their lifetime. We remain committed to expanding services and support for survivors across Los Angeles and beyond 🤝👖 #DenimDay2026 #UseYourVoice #VoiceForSurvivors

Now, the ULA Emergency Income Support Program is open. If you’re a low-income renter household with a senior or person with a disability and at risk of homelessness, you may qualify for up to $19,000.
